As well as issuing repeat prescriptions and dispensing medication, the dispenser can deal with any concerns about medication you may have.  If they are unable to answer your query immediately, they will contact you once the problem has been fully investigated.

Payments Procedure

We are now able to accept payment by debit/credit card for prescriptions, travel services, insurance reports etc. This service is available at Asplands only for the time being.

How to Request a Repeat Prescription

We want to make repeat prescription re-ordering as accurate, efficient, and easy to use as possible.  Although the answering machine is very easy to use there are some problems associated with the use of it for repeat prescriptions.  For example sometimes patient, or medication details are not clear in the messages, giving rise to potential prescribing inaccuracies; the recording tapes can get full, or malfunction; and messages cannot be left while the tapes are being listened to.  Because of these disadvantages many GP practices do not offer answer machine re-ordering at all and we have now decided to discontinue this service as well.

1. To use our On-line services from this website.  We have had many comments on its ease of use and convenience and everyone who has started to use it continues to do so (incidentally you can also book appointments and seek medical advice by this method). If you need help/advice on this please do not hesitate to ask us.
2. The use of the re-ordering slip. With every issue of a repeat prescription, there is a re-order slip.  By putting a tick against the medication you require and returning the slip to us a new prescription will be generated. You can return the slips to: Asplands Medical Centre or Woburn Surgery; by returning the slip to the “Repeat Prescription post box” situated in the porch of both surgeries.  Alternatively you can send your repeat slip by post to us.  Your prescription or dispensed medication will be ready for collection in 2 working days later. If you would like your prescription form returned to you by post please enclose a stamped address envelope with your repeat request form.  You may want to collect your medication direct from the chemist in Woburn sands (Dudley Taylor).  Please use the “Repeat prescription post box” situated in the chemist.  Your medication will be ready for collection after three working days.
3. This request will be processed by us within 2 working days upon reciept.  Please allow additional time, if your prescription is to be collected from a chemist.  If you need your medications before this time, please let us know in the comment box and we will endeavour to do our best for you.
