Appointments

Appointments with doctors, practice nurses or midwives can be made over the telephone or online. Chaperones are available if needed and clinically appropriate.

For non-urgent problems, you will normally be offered an appointment with the doctor within 48 hours, or 72 hours if you ask to see a doctor of your choice (excluding times when a doctor may be on holiday or at a training event).

Cancelling Appointments

If you can’t keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, either by using our online appointment cancellation service or by telephoning the practice so that we can make the appointment available to another patient.

Telephone Advice

The doctors and practice nurses are pleased to give telephone advice. You may be asked to ring back or leave a contact telephone number if your doctor or practice nurse is not immediately available.

Please note: We have had the 1471 BT number trace removed from all our telephone lines for confidentiality. This means that if we ring you, our number will be reported as "withheld" when you dial 1471.

Contact your Doctor, Practice Nurse or Practice Secretary Online

You can now ask a question or ask advice of your doctor, Practice Nurse or Practice Secretary or make general comments or observations on medical issues online.

Please note that this service is not suitable for urgent enquiries or for questions that you want to be dealt with specifically by your own doctor.

Appointment Timing

Please note that appointments are usually for 10 minutes.  If you have more than one problem, please ask for longer.

Home Visits

Doctors or nurses will visit you at home if your illness prevents you
travelling to the surgery. Please contact the surgery before 11.00am
if you think you may need a home visit.
